Honda created the Brio hatchback keeping in mind the market for such a car in the developing areas of south-east Asia. The Brio then went on to spawn the Amaze- a compact sedan based on the same platform. Now, Honda has revealed an MPV concept based on the Brio and how interesting is that!

Well, the first sketches of the concept are out revealing the striking new design of the upcoming MPV. Honda design has always managed to make their cars stand out from the rest with a rather modern and stylish exterior. Inside, the interior has been equally futuristic catering to the tastes of younger customers.

The new Brio-based MPV ticks all the right boxes when it comes to contemporary design. The front end gets signature Brio styling with a thick horizontal grille slat incorporating the Honda logo. This design feature gives it a more wider stance. The roof-line terminates into a rear spoiler and the wrap-around windshield on the rear adds style. The rear styling too is expressive and looks more production-ready than a mere design study.

Both the Brio and Amaze have been doing well in the Indian market and the addition of a MPV will certainly help Honda increase their market share. Will it come to India? Well for now, Honda wants to introduce this car in Indonesia to begin with and historically speaking, cars launched in this part of the world have made their way into the Indian market.

I find solace in appreciating the beauty of automobiles. Bikes aren't my cup of tea, however there are few masterpieces that I would love to own one day. I dream of driving the Volvo FH16 750 someday. I am also into more heavy stuff like, astronomy, astrophysics (minus the number crunching).
