Come March 26 and the new Range Rover Sport will be revealed. Land Rover has announced that the 2014 Range Rover Sport will be driven through Manhattan, New York before its official unveiling at the New York Auto Show. That being said, New York hasn’t been chosen randomly or through a ballot. No, it has been chosen because it is the single largest market for the same model! The folks at Land Rover have labelled the drive as a ‘Ground Breaking Live Drive’.

Almost Revealed – All New Range Rover Sport!

Meanwhile, Land Rover has released a teaser and has everyone talking about what the car is going to look like, we at are sure it is going to be an eclectic blend of its older brother, Range Rover and it’s younger sister, the Evoque. There is a definitive slope as seen, the Evoque was received with much enthusiasm and we hope the same slope on the new RR Sports will find its way into everyone’s heart.
As far as the car is considered, it is based on an all-aluminium platform, similar to that of the New Range Rover which was released in 2012. It will be built alongside the flagship model at Land Rover’s new PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) production line in Solihull, West Midlands. In Land Rover’s own words, this car is going to be the company’s “Fastest, most responsive and most agile vehicle, to date.” It is rumored to be lighter than its predecessor by almost 390 lbs.! That would mean a better power to weight ratio, this is going to be awesome! The higher end version of the vehicle should feature the 5.0 liter supercharged V8 maxing at 510 BHP!
The entire spectacle will be broadcast live to the audience around the world on the new Range Rover Sport’s website. Be sure you don’t miss it wherever in the world you are! Stay tuned for another update about the same in a fortnight!

I find solace in appreciating the beauty of automobiles. Bikes aren't my cup of tea, however there are few masterpieces that I would love to own one day. I dream of driving the Volvo FH16 750 someday. I am also into more heavy stuff like, astronomy, astrophysics (minus the number crunching).
