The New BMW 7 Series Unveiled in India!
BMW recently screened the face lifted version of its flagship sedan, the new 2013 BMW 7 Series in a charity event. The new BMW 7 Series was unveiled at the Jodhpur One World Retreat held from March 8th to March 10th, and boasted the presence of few renowned personalities such as Maharaja Gaj Singh II, renowned star cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, the famed celebrity and actor Dia Mirza, Industrialist Pawan Munjal and socialite Suhel Seth along with few other distinguished personalities.
Though the company has reported that the sedan will be officially launched in the months to follow. The new BMW 7 Series also known as the BMW 7 Series LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) flaunts many changes both inside and out. This sedan will now have an updated front fascia with integrated 8 LED indicators along with LED corona rings in almost square xenon headlamps, a refreshed kidney grille that were 12 in previous edition and have been reduced to 9, a wider spacing between slats. The new front bumper now gets a reworked air intake, Air-curtain technology and horizontal chrome elements. Even the ORVMs get integrated turn indicators as the LED blinkers that were present in previous model at side grills have been shifted to the ORVMs in new 2013 BMW 7 Series face lift.
Apart from the reworked front bumper, the rear bumper is also reworked with an integrated chrome strip. The other changes to the rear include slightly reinvigorated tail lamp console and chrome insert for the rear bumper. The tail lights will have new shades of red, replacing the projection of light and dark elements in previous edition.
The 2013 BMW 7 Series gets some serious makeover in the interiors too. The 2013 BMW 7 Series turned more stylish and comfortable with the newly designed front seats and relaxed individual rear seats including adjustable backrest angle and seat position with head restraints. Other changes to the interior include iDrive controller and two 9.2 inch screens that would be optional. The soundproofing is another enhancement along with the new extended ambient lighting system that will be available in two shades. There are new chrome trims and cup holders for central dash in the new 2013 BMW 7 Series.
BMW India has not yet revealed the 7 Series LCI variants that will be sold in India; although the 730LD will certainly be a part of the list. There are reports that the car is likely to retain the similar in-line six-cylinder 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine, however it is speculated to have a slightly more power and torque.
With the competitors like Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and Jaguar XJ already on sale in most global markets, this is a well-thought step from BMW. Most likely, the BMW will launch the 2013 7 Series in India launch within coming months.
